Logan Henderson

Logan Philip Henderson
 [1] (born September 14, 1989)[2] is an American actor, dancer, rapper and singer. He is best known for his starring role as Logan Mitchell on the Nickelodeon series, Big Time Rush, as well as being a member of the Big Time Rush band itself. He also appeared in Season 2, episode 12 of Friday Night Lights, titled "Who Do You Think You Are". It has been said that Logan loves llamas. As Kendall Schmidt released on twitter about Logan, "He says because he was near death when he was in the Ozark mountains and a Llama saved his love. He is eternally grateful!"

Life and career

Henderson was born in North Richland Hills, Texas (near Dallas),[3][4] and had a small role as a bully on the television program Friday Night Lights[5] before moving to California at the age of 18 to pursue his acting career.[3] Big Time Rush is his breakthrough role.[2][3][6] Big Time Rush's first album was released October 11, 2010, via Sony and Columbia Records.

Big Time Rush

In 2007, the Nickelodeon was casting and looking for people to be in a new band to be in a new sitcom called Big Time Rush. Henderson and James Maslow got the roles as Logan Mitchell and James Diamond after sending in audition tapes, Carlos Pena, Jr. got his role as Carlos Garcia soon after in the same way, and finally Kendall Schmidt got the role of Kendall Knight 2 years after the others. The producer thought that the boys were perfect for the part. The pilot episode kicked off as most watched on Nickelodeon (TV channel) history.[4]
His character's name is Logan Mitchell, the genius of the band, is good at getting them out of trouble.
The boys have recorded many songs including, "The City Is Ours", "Halfway There", "Famous", "Til I Forget About You" (first single off of their debut album, B.T.R., and the theme song, "Big Time Rush". Additional songs will be released throughout the show's seasons. They and Nickelodeon are planning on releasing an album of the songs from the first season of the show and some new ones. The album was released on October 11, 2010. One week later their self-titled album, Big Time Rush, premiered at #3 on The Billboard, and at #1 on the iTunes digital albums list.


Carlos Pena, Jr.

Carlos Roberto Pena, Jr.
(born August 15, 1989)[2] is an American actor, dancer and singer. He is best known for starring on the Nickelodeon series Big Time Rush as Carlos Garcia.
Pena was born in Albert Lea, Minnesota.[1][3] He was raised in Weston, Florida.[2][4] He attended Sagemont Upper School.[1] His first major role was a guest shot at age 15 on ER, followed later that year by guest-starring roles on Judging Amy, Summerland, and Ned's Declassified School Survival Guide.[3][4][5][6] He appeared in local productions of Grease and Man of La Mancha.[1] He also had a role in the American Heritage School, where he attended before leaving to Los Angeles to pursue an acting career, production of Titanic.[4][6] During his run in Titanic he fell in love with singing and dancing.[4] While still in high school, Pena appeared in television commercials for the Super Soaker brand recreational water gun, and his image even appeared on the toy's packaging.[2]
In 2007, he appeared as a contestant on MTV's Making Menudo series.[3][5][6][7] Pena and his mother commuted between South Florida and Hollywood, California, to accommodate his television acting roles, and he was homeschooled during this time.[4] He returned to The Sagemont School where he starred in shows like "Grease", "Les Miserable", "Little Shop of Horrors" (which landed him a South Florida Cappie nomination for Lead Actor in a Musical), and "Once Upon a Mattress". He received his high school diploma from The Sagemont School in 2008. After graduating from high school, he attended the Boston Conservatory.[5][6]
Pena was studying musical theater at the Boston Conservatory when his manager urged him to audition for Big Time Rush.[2] Although he was reluctant to do so, he submitted an audition tape and won the role a month later.[2] Pena moved to Hollywood in August 2009.
Carlos is Christian as confirmed in a YouTube video with Cassie Means singing Midnight Cry.

Big Time Rush is an American pop singing group that formed in 2009. The band consists of Kendall Schmidt, James Maslow, Carlos Pena, Jr., and Logan Henderson, all on vocals. In 2007, Nickelodeon was casting and looking for people to be in a new band to be in a new sitcom called Big Time Rush. Pena and Logan Henderson sent in their audition tapes and were accepted to be Carlos Garcia and Logan Mitchell over thousands of other boys. Kendall Schmidt won the role of Kendall Knight over many other people because of the difficult decision of casting him over others. James Maslow sent in his audition tape when his desire was in singing and acting. He got the role of James Diamond 2 years later.[3]
The boys have recorded many songs including the theme song of the same title as the show, "Any Kind of Guy", "City Is Ours", "Halfway There", "Famous", "Shot in the Dark", "Stuck", "This Is Our Someday", and "Big Night". Additional songs will be released throughout the show's first season. They and Nickelodeon are planning on releasing an album of a few songs from the first season of the show and new songs. The album was released on October 11, 2010 and was titled B.T.R. (album).


Kendall Schmidt

Kendall Francis Schmidt
  (born November 2, 1990) is an American actor, dancer and singer best known for his role as Kendall Knight on the Nickelodeon show, Big Time Rush, as well as a member of the boy band of the same name. In Big Time Rush, Kendall is "the leader of the band". In 2009, he signed a record deal with the Columbia Records with his group Big Time Rush, along with James Maslow, Carlos Pena, Jr., and Logan Henderson.

Career

He is the star of Nickelodeon's hit live-action show, Big Time Rush as Kendall Knight, a 16 year old hockey player from Minnesota. He has played small roles on different TV shows such as ER, Without a Trace and Frasier. Kendall was also in a band titled Heffron Drive with fellow actor and singer Dustin Belt. His brother is Kevin Schmidt from Cheaper by the Dozen and Cheaper By The Dozen 2.

Acting

In the 2000s, his first speaking role was playing a young Frasier Crane on an episode of Frasier,[1][2] but he has also had guest-starring roles on Gilmore Girls, ER (along with Carlos Pena, Jr.), Ghost Whisperer, CSI: Miami, and Without a Trace. He has also guest starred on "Phil of the Future."

Carlos Pena, Jr. and Logan Henderson sent in their audition tapes and were accepted over thousands of other boys.[3]

When he was 10 years old, he was one of three young actors who was hired to be Haley Joel Osment's stand-in and body double (they shared the same agent) in the Steven Spielberg film, A.I. Artificial Intelligence.[4] He celebrated his birthday on the set, and Spielberg and the cast surprised him with a birthday cake decorated with Star Wars figures.[4] In mid 2009 Schmidt was cast in the Nickelodeon series Big Time Rush as one of the four main characters, Kendall Knight. The show premiered to a record breaking 6.8 million viewers, making it the highest rated premiere for a live action series in Nick history.[citation needed]




James Maslow

James David Maslow
  (born July 16, 1990) is an American actor, singer and dancer. He is best known for playing the role of James Diamond on Nickelodeon's Big Time Rush, and is a member of the boy band with the same name.

Life and career

Maslow was born in New York, and raised in La Jolla, California.[1][2] In 1996, Maslow began training as a singer at the age of 6 when his parents made him sing in the San Diego Children's Choir.[1][3] He attended La Jolla and Torrey Pines elementary schools, Muirlands Middle School, and San Diego School of Creative and Performing Arts[3] He had a small role in the San Diego Opera's production of La bohème when he was 10 years old.[3][4][5] He attended acting camp at the La Jolla Playhouse, got his first agent when he was 14, and in high school starred as Danny Zuko in Grease and as Marius in Les Misérables.[3] He quit the School of Creative and Performing Arts mid-way through the 10th grade and switched to Coronado School of the Arts. He tested out of high school in 2006, at the age of 16. [3]
He made his television debut as Shane in the iCarly episode "iSaw Him First"[4] in 2008. He has a scar on his elbow, which he received while performing a hockey-related stunt for the first episode of Big Time Rush.[6]
Maslow is Jewish.[7] In an interview with Clevver TV, when asked his favorite holiday, he replied Hannukah.[8]
